Simple Criteria
Any young person living or working in Scotland can be nominated up to the age of 30, if their financial circumstances make it difficult to progress fully in their chosen field.
Our criteria are very simple as are our application forms.
Typical Winner
A typical award winner will have come to the attention of tutors or employers as having quite exceptional talent.
If they are being hampered in making further progress because of a lack of funds we will do everything possible to help.
In order to be eligible you must provide us with referees who can testify to the quality of your work, and, where possible, supply examples.
Assessment
At that stage, depending on the art form in question, we will either arrange a professional assessment, or an audition.
The trustees are also anxious to detect the kind of ambition and vision which will mean the candidate has a clear idea of the direction in which his or her work should progress, but we will also provide mentors to help shape that ambition where necessary.
Exclusions
Please be aware that we no longer fund CD production or, for the time being, the purchase of musical instruments.
