The Dewar Arts Awards support Scotland’s best and brightest of young artistic talent.
So far over 200 awards have been made. Winners include film makers, visual artists, dancers, actors, photographers, textile designers, contemporary jewellers, writers, musicians, composers and conductors.
Focus on Artist - Katri Walker
Katri writes, “The whole experience has been an education for me. I have been fortunate enough to meet people I would never have had the opportunity or reason to meet otherwise, people who have opened up my eyes to other ways of living, other belief systems and social realities. The public outcome of my project .. has been a really important step in my career. The response was overwhelmingly positive, not only from the public but the media also.”
