In 2008, Sean Shibe received a Dewar Arts Award, enabling him to buy his first professional guitar.  He has since proved himself to be a significant and rising star, described as 'one of the foremost guitarists of his generation'. 

This year, Sean has been shortlisted for a prestigious BBC Music Magazine Award.  His latest album 'softLOUD' has been selected for the 'Instrumental' category, and is open to public vote.

More About Sean:

In 2007, Sean gained a scholarship to attend the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (then the RSAMD) as the youngest musician ever to enter the Academy (he was just 15).  In 2008 Sean received a Dewar Arts Award, and has since established himself as singular talent in his field.

Sean's achievements include;

2008 - Finalist in the Westfalian Guitar Spring in Germany
2008 - Chanterelle Guitar Prize
2009 - Silver Medal at the 5th Ligita International Guitar Competition in Liechtenstein
2009 - 12th Ivor Mairants Guitar Competition (Worshipful Company of Musicians)
2011 - String Section Prize, Royal Overseas League Music Competition
